Upcom Ltd is looking for a Technology Expert to work on a project for a European Institution in Belgium.

Language: English and French (level 4/5)

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

• At lest 11+ years of relevant experience
• MSc in computer science or relevant field
• Very good knowledge of SQL (PL/SQL is an asset): minimum 3 years in the last 5 years
• Very good knowledge of relational database (preferably Oracle Database): minimum 3 years in the last 5 years
• Good knowledge of Java technologies applied to web-based application, including minimum 2 years in the last 5 years
• Ability to customise or develop report with tools such as BIRT, Crystal Reports, Jasper reports – minimum 1 year in the last 5 years
• Ability to implement / learn Agile methodology best practices
• Ability to apply high quality standards
• Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings
• Capability of working in an international / multicultural environment
• Good writing skills
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo), as well as Business Process Modelling, is an asset.

TASKS

• Design and update BIRT reports, write and optimize associated SQL queries
• Write tests and technical documentation
• Apply corrective maintenance to existing systems
• Analyse, amend and maintain the database model
• Analyse and implement new functionalities
• Design and implement user interface services based on graphical studios (toolbox) and Javascript
• Deploy new releases in different environments
