We are currently looking for a talented Quality & Test Specialist on behalf of a major European Union Agency.

Seniority: Intermediate level (6 years of experience in the requested field)

Location: hybrid, Malta (it’s up to contractor to define the hybrid ratio)

Kindly note that the selected candidate must start the engagement with on-site presence of at least five (5) consecutive working days.

Project: Quality Assurance and Testing for various ICT Projects and Applications

Scope: The selected candidate is expected to ensure that delivered or existing products, applications or services comply with technical, and user needs and with specifications, user stories or cases.  For existing systems, applications, innovations, and functionality changes, the selected candidate is expected to diagnose failures of products or services as regards to the specification standards. The selected candidate is also requested to generate requisite documentation to support quality management activities in a project.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze the system under testing.
• Design the test strategy.
• Create, design and maintain test plans.
• Develop test acceptance criteria.
• Create, design and maintain test scripts and test data.
• Prepare and plan the test environments.
• Perform testing activities and report test results.
• Log any defects and potential improvements.
• Generate requisite documentation to support quality management activities.

Additional tasks which might be requested:

• Select and develop integration testing techniques to ensure the system meets requirements.
• Design and customize integration tests, identify issues that may jeopardize the correct functioning of the application.
• Organize test plans and procedures for white and black box testing at unit, module, system, and integration levels.
• Contribute to result analysis and reporting procedures.
• Contribute to defect tracking and correction procedures.
• Use, select and design testing tools to assess software quality.
• Apply, design and develop automated testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks.
• Develop standards to increase test effectiveness and efficiency.
