We are currently looking for an Oracle Database Administrator to join our team and work for our major client in banking industry.
The Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle databases for our customer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, database security. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products
- Manage and monitor Oracle databases to ensure high availability and performance
- Implement and maintain database security, including user accounts, roles, and permissions
- Perform database tuning and optimization to enhance performance
- Develop, implement & maintain backup and recovery strategies
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and implement database
- Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and policies
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for database-related issues
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA
- Proficiency with Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 19c, or higher
- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Shell scripting
- Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN
- Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tuning tools
- Excellent understanding of database security best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant Oracle certifications (OCP etc.)are desirable
