We are currently looking for a Cloud BI Architect to join our team, on behalf of one of our major clients in gaming industry.

The successful candidate will collaborate with client to understand the current BI and DWH architecture, identify areas for improvement, and design a robust, scalable, and cost-effective solution for the future.

Project Overview: As part of the continuous efforts to innovate and optimize the cloud architecture, the client is initiating a project to build an advanced BI architecture on the cloud. This project aims to address current DWH weaknesses and propose solutions that support modern analytics, improve operational efficiency, and reduce costs.

Responsibilities:

• Gaining a thorough understanding of current Azure-based DWH architecture.
• Designing and proposing an optimal Cloud BI architecture tailored to client’s business and analytics needs.
• Proposing solutions that:
• Reduce the operational cost of the current MS Synapse based DWH without losing the data and the functionality the current DWH supports and assuring business continuity.
• Enable real time analytics using data streaming or other technologies.
• Introduce to DWH all the necessary modern services that a BI system should provide.
• Implement a medallion architecture with data layers, ensuring each layer meets specific business requirements (e.g., raw, clean, and gold layers).

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in cloud BI architecture design with expertise in Azure (especially Azure Synapse SQL and Data Lake).
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data warehouse solutions and experience in cost optimization for cloud-based DWH systems.
• Familiarity with real-time analytics and data streaming technologies.
• Hands-on experience implementing modern data architecture concepts, including medallion architecture and data layers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to propose innovative solutions for complex BI challenges.
• Excellent communication skills in both Greek and English to present complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
