We are currently looking for a talented Senior IT Project Manager (remote) on behalf of a major international organization.
Location: fully remote role within EU
Key Responsibilities:
| · Development of IT Project Management Plans |
| · Planning, delivery and maintenance of large, complex IT projects (or multiple medium projects in parallel), to an agreed schedule and budget, adhering to a recognized project management methodology. |
| · Expert management of day‐to‐day progress and operational aspects of large, complex IT projects (or multiple projects in parallel, or programs of interlinked projects). |
| · Identification of resources needed and assignment of individual responsibilities. |
| · Negotiation of politically sensitive scope/timing decisions with business and IT stakeholders. |
| · Revision of plans as appropriate to meet changing requirements and circumstances. |
| · Review and approval of project deliverables from own and other IT projects to ensure quality. |
| · Oversight and mentoring of less experienced IT Project Managers. |
| · Quality Assurance reviews of IT projects. |
| · Tailoring, enhancing and effective application of the organization’s application development and project management methodologies and enforcement of project standards. |
| · Co‐ordination of multiple vendors, the organization’s staff and contractors. |
| · Monitoring and reporting of project status. |
| · Management of project issues and risks, escalating when appropriate |
| · Preparation for project reviews and quality assurance procedures. Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Essential Skills and Qualifications: · A minimum of seven years of IT project management experience including successfully managing. · Additional experience in application development or other IT related areas of over five years. · Expert knowledge of a recognised IT project management methodologies such as PRINCE2. · Expert knowledge of a recognised IT procedure library such ITIL. · Working experience with agile project methodologies like SCRUM. · Knowledge and understanding of DevSecOps practices. · Knowledge of cloud infrastructures. · Demonstrable negotiation skills. · Ability to multi‐task and work well under pressure. · Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language. · Must be project‐oriented, customer‐focussed and responsive, with a highly professional manner.
Additional Skills and Qualifications: · PRINCE2 / SCRUM / ITIL certification or relevant experience. · A strong background in client‐facing IT consulting would be highly regarded. · Experience of project management in international environments. · Experience of project management in diverse, multicultural organisations. · Experience of managing globally sourced resources. · Experience of project management of data analytics, O365, Drupal, CRM, BPM, J2EE, and/or .NET projects. |
