We are seeking an experienced and analytical Business Analyst to support digital transformation initiatives within a leading international organisation addressing global environmental challenges. This role will focus on understanding business needs, mapping and optimising cross-departmental processes, and supporting the delivery of scalable digital solutions that align with broader strategic and operational goals.

The ideal candidate will bring strong stakeholder engagement skills, hands-on experience with enterprise systems analysis, and the ability to bridge business goals with technical solutions in a multicultural, purpose-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Rapidly gain a comprehensive understanding of the organisation’s mission, structure, and business domains, building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.

• Perform expert-level business process analysis and modelling, adhering to agreed methodologies and producing accurate, implementation-independent documentation.

• Develop conceptual and logical data models, data dictionaries, and business information flows.

• Drive business process optimisation and transformation across different units and domains, ensuring consistency and efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with solution architects, designers, developers, and testers, supporting functional requirement clarification and refinement throughout the project lifecycle.

• Contribute to the preparation of test plans and functional test cases and participate actively in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.

• Ensure alignment of system designs with defined functional requirements and provide ongoing analysis documentation maintenance through design, development, and testing.

• Analyse and prioritise application enhancements and defect resolutions, helping to align technical solutions with business priorities.

• Assist project delivery through effective scope management, expectation alignment, and timely reporting to project managers.

• Prepare high-quality documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences, including internal and external knowledge bases.

• Ensure adherence to a recognised Application Development Lifecycle, including both agile and traditional methodologies.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in IT application analysis, including significant time working in functional business areas.

• Demonstrated ability to proactively elicit, validate, and document functional requirements and business processes.

• Strong capability to lead business analysis activities, including mentoring or coordinating junior analysts when needed.

• Excellent analytical skills in data modelling and investigation, with experience in conceptual and logical data models.

• Familiarity with internet-based and client/server systems architecture, including working knowledge of HTML, SQL, and database design.

• Expert knowledge of application lifecycle methodologies, both agile (e.g., Scrum) and traditional (e.g., waterfall).

• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and act as the bridge between IT and business units.

• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

• Highly organised, project-oriented, and customer-focused, with a professional, problem-solving mindset.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in User Acceptance Testing, including test scenario design and execution.

• Background in document management systems and tools.

• Experience in business process management platforms and frameworks.

• Prior experience in multicultural or international environments, particularly within public-sector or mission-driven organisations.
