Hands-on experience with observability & monitoring (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, Grafana, ELK, etc.). Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve complex system issues. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. Fluent speaking in English

The Platform Engineer – Store Operations ensures that the technology platforms used in retail stores run reliably and efficiently. This role supports store systems, integrations, and data flows, and works closely with product, delivery, and operations teams to keep store operations running smoothly.
The ideal candidate has strong technical skills—especially with SQL databases and system integrations—along with strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication, and a customer-focused approach. This role supports critical store technologies such as POS systems, inventory and pricing platforms, labor tools, and store IoT or automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Operations & Support
- Monitor and maintain store platforms to ensure high availability and performance.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support for store teams.
- Troubleshoot issues related to data, integrations, and system performance.
- Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve incidents quickly and reduce store disruption.
Systems Integration & Data Management
- Work with relational databases, including writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Validate data and support ETL processes.
- Understand and support different integration types (APIs, event-driven systems, flat files, message queues, real-time and batch).
- Partner with engineering teams to implement and test integrations between store and enterprise systems.
System Stability & Performance
- Ensure system stability and support new platform implementations.
- Help improve deployment pipelines and operational processes over time.
Monitoring & Reliability
- Set up and improve monitoring, alerting, and observability tools.
- Participate in on-call support for critical store systems.
- Perform root-cause analysis and help implement long-term fixes.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Act as a link between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Clearly communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Document system flows, support procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide training and technical guidance when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Strong SQL skills (queries, joins, performance tuning, data validation).
- Good understanding of system integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, messaging, ETL, event-driven systems).
- Experience supporting distributed systems or platforms at scale.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience in retail, grocery, or high-volume operational environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Knowledge of POS, inventory, or workforce management systems.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
