We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Ingestion IT Systems Database Administrator Expert to join a large European organization based in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will play a key role in a strategic cloud and database migration project, supporting the migration of critical systems from AWS Cloud and Oracle technologies to a new cloud environment based on PostgreSQL.

This is an on-site position in Luxembourg, requiring strong technical expertise in database administration, cloud migration, and data integrity within complex, regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of the Cellar store (semantic repository of the Publications Office) from AWS Cloud to another cloud provider, including migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL.

• Migrate existing cloud-based Oracle databases (RDS) to cloud-based PostgreSQL databases, covering configuration, data, and procedures.

• Remove and refactor dependencies related to Oracle Spatial.

• Ensure data integrity, security, performance, and availability of databases during and after migration activities.

• Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.

• Design, develop, and maintain database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.

• Monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.

• Collaborate closely with IT systems teams, application teams, and the Data Migration Lead to ensure database solutions align with application and business requirements.

• Ensure all activities are performed in full compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting the ongoing implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• University degree in Information Technology or a related field.

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in IT.

• At least 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA), with a strong focus on cloud migration and database administration.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in database design and development.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle, Oracle Spatial, RDS, and PostgreSQL.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in cloud migration projects, including data transfer and synchronization.

• At least 1 year of experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

• Excellent command of English and good knowledge of French.
