Role Overview

We are looking for Senior Freelance IT Systems Integration, Operations & Support Specialists to work on-site in Luxembourg for a large European organization. The role focuses on the operational support, integration, monitoring, and continuous improvement of complex IT systems hosted in cloud environments.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly autonomous, and experienced in IT operations, incident management, system monitoring, and collaboration within multidisciplinary and regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical consultancy and operational support for IT systems.

  • Monitor and analyse system logs and metrics (preferably using CloudWatch or Dynatrace) and produce reports and statistics (ideally with PIWIK or BI tools).

  • Manage IT system incidents, investigate root causes, and ensure timely resolution in line with ITIL practices.

  • Test new functionalities, identify and document issues, and follow up until resolution.

  • Coordinate the reception, validation, and testing of new software releases, leveraging CI/CD pipelines (preferably Bitbucket and/or GitLab).

  • Operate and support IT systems hosted in cloud environments (preferably AWS) while applying established change management procedures.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute database scripts and Linux/Unix scripts (e.g. JSON queries, shell scripting).

  • Analyse, design, and actively contribute to the evolution and optimisation of IT systems.

  • Provide 2nd-level technical support to users, including troubleshooting functional and non-functional issues related to HTML, XML, and CSS.

  • Create, manage, and follow up on tickets with users and external service providers.

  • Draft, review, and validate technical and functional / non-functional specifications in close collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and Operations teams.

  • Participate actively in technical working groups, project meetings, and workshops with developers, stakeholders, and non-technical users.

  • Deliver training sessions and system demonstrations to internal teams.

  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting the implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

Required Skills & Experience

  • University degree in Information Technology or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT.

  • At least 3 years of experience in:

    • Monitoring and analysing system logs

    • Incident and Problem Management (ITIL)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in:

    • Testing and validating functional and non-functional requirements

    • Drafting technical and functional / non-functional specifications

    • Project Management roles

  • At least 2 years of experience working with cloud-based services.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in release management, including setup and configuration of CI/CD pipelines.

  • At least 1 year of experience in database and network management.

  • Excellent command of English; good knowledge of French is considered an asset.
