About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our client, a leading company operating in the Aerospace & Defence sector, based in Agia Paraskevi, Athens.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting complex software development and transformation initiatives, working closely with business and IT stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The role combines business and systems analysis, requirements engineering, solution design, process optimisation and testing, with a strong focus on highly configurable enterprise platforms and business transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate actively throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, analysis and refinement, solution design, testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Analyse business processes and translate business needs into clear, structured and actionable system requirements.

• Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, system administrators and other IT teams to define and implement effective solutions.

• Support the configuration and administration of highly configurable enterprise platforms, such as BPM, CRM and ESM solutions.

• Contribute to business process redesign, process optimisation and the development of effective Business Process Management solutions and frameworks.

• Support complex transformation initiatives involving process redesign, data migration, platform transitions and system consolidation.

• Contribute to application migration initiatives, legacy system decommissioning and enterprise platform transition projects.

• Develop and maintain business and technical documentation, including scope documents, functional designs, requirements specifications, requirements traceability matrices, work instructions, training materials and user guides.

• Develop use cases, process models and system interaction diagrams using tools such as Microsoft Visio or Draw.io.

• Define and support test strategies, test planning, test execution, defect investigation and troubleshooting activities.

• Coordinate with project stakeholders to support project planning, progress tracking, issue resolution and delivery activities.

• Identify risks, dependencies and potential issues, ensuring appropriate escalation and follow-up.

• Support the implementation and maintenance of Service Delivery Models where required.

• Work across different business functions and IT teams to ensure that solutions are aligned with organisational processes and business objectives.

• Provide analytical input and contribute to the identification of practical, innovative and sustainable solutions to complex business and technical challenges.

• Manage multiple priorities effectively while adapting to changing project requirements, timelines and business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required; a degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related discipline is preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with active involvement across the Software Development Life Cycle.

• 7+ years of overall experience in software development projects, demonstrating a broad and well-rounded understanding of software and technology environments.

• Proven experience in Functional or Enterprise System Administration within highly configurable enterprise platforms, such as BPM, CRM or ESM.

• Strong experience adapting enterprise systems and applications to meet business requirements.

• Proven experience in complex transformation projects involving process redesign, data migration, platform transitions or system consolidation.

• Experience with application migration, legacy system decommissioning or similar initiatives will be considered a strong advantage.

• Experience developing or supporting Business Process Management tools and frameworks is highly desirable.

• Experience in project coordination, including planning, progress tracking and stakeholder engagement, will be considered an advantage.

• Experience working across different business operations or organisational functions is highly valued.

• Experience with Service Delivery Model implementation and maintenance is a plus.

• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to develop creative and practical solutions to complex business and technical challenges.

• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to remain effective in high-pressure situations.

• Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing project requirements and priorities.

Skills & Knowledge

• Excellent analytical, organisational and planning skills.

• Strong understanding of business analysis and systems analysis methodologies.

• Good understanding of software development and configuration environments.

• Proven expertise in requirements analysis, refinement, use case development and functional specification.

• Strong experience in test planning, execution, defect analysis and troubleshooting.

• Proficiency with process modelling and visualisation tools such as MS Visio or Draw.io.

• Ability to produce and maintain high-quality project and technical documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly to different stakeholder groups.

• Strong stakeholder management, collaboration and teamwork skills.

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Ability to identify, communicate and escalate risks, issues and dependencies effectively.

• Strong business acumen combined with solid analytical and technical capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across different IT departments and business functions.

• Basic SQL knowledge will be considered an asset.

• Exposure to low-code configuration, including the use of simple expressions and functions to configure application logic and behaviour, will be considered an advantage.
