We are seeking a skilled .Net Framework Application Support Engineer to join our dynamic team on behalf of one of our major clients in the banking sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting applications written in the .Net Framework using C#. Additionally, the role involves a variety of tasks and responsibilities as outlined below.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Application Support

  • Provide support for applications written in .Net Framework using C#.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues related to banking and vendor applications.

Technical and Functional Analysis:

  • Conduct technical and functional analysis for new and existing applications.

Integration and Deployment:

  • Integrate new applications into the network.
  • Define application architecture and topology.
  • Execute procedures for provisioning necessary infrastructure for installation.
  • Implement procedures for configuring related applications within the bank.

Application Development:

  • Develop or upgrade applications following the bank’s procedures, architecture, and security specifications.
  • Install applications in development, testing, and production environments.

Documentation and Approval Processes:

  • Execute processes to document functional and technical specifications of new applications in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) documents.
  • Execute approval processes for installing new applications in production.

Problem Investigation and Resolution:

  • Investigate production problems, transaction flows, and application malfunctions.
  • Provide support for application rollouts, including defining processes, issue handling, and impact analysis on other systems/applications.
  • Offer general support for vendors and ensure proper access controls are in place.

Vendor Management:

  • Provide oversight and general support to vendors.
  • Execute procedures for granting access to individuals and systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL, C#, and .NET.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, and API practices (RESTful) with knowledge of dependency injection.
  • Experience with database technologies such as MS SQL.
  • Proficiency in Greek and English languages.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a distributed team, meeting strict deadlines and challenging targets.
