We are looking for an Application Support Consultant to join our team of IT professionals on behalf of one of our major clients in the IT sector.

As an Application Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing user support for government project application.

The ideal candidate will provide 1st level support, make minor application changes add new users and escalate issues to 2nd level support when necessary. This role requires a client-facing professional with strong IT knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively with solution vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st level support for applications, addressing user queries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Make minor changes to applications as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Add and manage new user accounts within applications.
  • Escalate complex issues to second-level support or relevant solution vendors, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with users, understanding their needs and providing appropriate solutions.
  • Document support activities, maintaining accurate records of issues and resolutions.
  • Documenting support activities, including resolutions and user feedback.
  • Participating in training sessions to enhance knowledge of the application and its functionalities.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to enhance application functionality and user satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in support or programming within the IT field will be considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, quality and proactive issue anticipation.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and adept at handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Fluency in Greek & English.
  • Military obligations fulfilled.
