We are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Infrastructure Application Owner to join our team of IT professionals on behalf of a major client in the banking sector.

By joining this role, you’ll be part of the Bank’s Group IT Operations and will be responsible for designing/ analyzing/ delivering & maintain their infrastructure application solutions by, architecting & delivering modern technologies, embedding security best practices in every implementation, maintaining the uninterrupted operations of their banking services & platforms, either hosted in their own DC premises or on public cloud providers.

As a Infrastructure Application Owner, a hands-on role in architecting, delivering and maintaining cutting-edge technologies, your responsibilities will extend to lead/ design/ implement & maintain aiming the continuous improvement of the client’s standards and security frameworks . Will work closely with the Group IT Security & Group IT teams for the implementation of new or existing technologies, policies and procedures, ensuring IT systems availability and leading relevant initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the Application technical and business decisions are made with confidence of business executives and engineering teams as necessary.
  • Identify areas of improvement and develop a long-term quality improvement program that encompasses the technology and business aspects of the software application
  • Leading the architecture and deployment of new or existing technologies to improve ways of working and overall efficiency of our posture; deep experience on both on-premises and cloud technologies (including OSs, virtualization, databases security, networking, firewalling, cloud security (Azure and AWS/GCP) and containerization technologies such as Openshift/Kubernetes
  • Strong experience of Application Servers implementation (IIS, JBoss, WebLogic, Apache/Tomcat) and Advance Architecture Design knowledge (2Tier/3Tier Applications)
  • Java scripting & Rest API knowledge.
  • Ensure infrastructure and operational services adhere to agreed-upon security and service levels, overseeing the efficiency and effectiveness of security implementations
  • Knowledge of RDBMs (SQL, Oracle, MySQL etc.) and connectivity between Application and Database
  • Basic Knowledge of networking (Firewall, Load Balancing, Routing)
  • Good Knowledge of Hypervisors standards (VMWare/Hyper-V)
  • Technical Project Management skills (required for Units’ projects coordination)

 

In addition and preferable we would like you to have extensive knowledge of:

  • System coding and scripting for administration purposes, like python, perl, go etc.
  • Usage of Jira ticketing tool.
  • A very good knowledge of cloud services like MS Azure, Amazon, IBM Bluemix etc
  • Administer and configure container distributing platform as Docker and also container orchestration systems as Kubernetes.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • 3 to 10 years of relevant professional experience within an established organization in Banking, or consulting industry; experience on collaborating and presenting to top management
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in IT or a relevant field of study
  • Have deep understanding of infrastructure architecture and experience on coordinating complex cross functional IT projects with large teams
  • Are fluent in English
  • Being able to build confidence on the teams that will work with
