We are currently looking for a talented IT Project Manager on behalf of one of our major clients in the Finance/Loans sector.

 

Location: Athens, Greece

Mode: hybrid

Seniority: mid-level (3-4 years of experience)

 

Role description

The IT Project Manager leads medium to large-scale, complex IT projects that support business development and transformation initiatives. This role acts as the key liaison between IT and business stakeholders—including external partners—ensuring alignment, transparency, and successful delivery across cross-functional teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and secure project resource requirements in collaboration with department heads.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to clarify project scope, objectives, and deliverables—serving as the single point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans using appropriate tools and methodologies, in line with company standards.
  • Monitor project progress, manage changes in scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Track and report on project performance using appropriate KPIs and reporting tools.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including action logs, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Organize and facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, circulate minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

 

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technology field.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience managing IT solution delivery projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a hands-on, goal-driven approach.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proficient in project management tools; experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in the banking sector, particularly in Loan-related systems, is desirable.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) is a plus.
