We are currently seeking a talented React Engineer (TypeScript) on behalf of one of our major clients in the Banking sector.

Working model: hybrid (2 days at the office)

Location: Athens, Greece

Seniority: 3-5 years of relevant experience

Salary range: 2900 – 3200 euros gross

Job Profile

We are looking for a skilled React Engineer with strong TypeScript experience to join our development team and contribute to building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in front-end development, with a solid understanding of modern React development practices and a preference for experience in the banking or financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Build reusable, modular, and maintainable UI components following established coding standards and best practices.
• Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Implement state management solutions and handle complex application workflows.
• Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and designs into accessible, user-friendly interfaces.
• Ensure application quality through unit testing, component testing, and integration testing.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues, bugs, and technical challenges.
• Follow secure coding practices and contribute to the protection of sensitive data, particularly in financial applications.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in front-end development.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js and TypeScript.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with React Hooks, component lifecycle concepts, and reusable component design.
• Good understanding of state management approaches, such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, or equivalent solutions.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous operations.
• Familiarity with front-end testing tools and frameworks, such as Jest, React Testing Library, or equivalent.
• Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to code quality.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the banking, financial services, fintech, or payments industry.
• Experience developing applications involving financial transactions, customer accounts, payment workflows, or other business-critical processes.
• Understanding financial-sector security requirements, data privacy, authentication, and authorization.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
