We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with proven expertise in the insurance sector to join our team and support one of our key clients. This role focuses on analyzing and documenting business requirements while bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation.

The Business Analyst will work across critical insurance functions such as underwriting, claims, accounting, sales commission, and reporting while undertaking testing responsibilities to ensure full compliance with documented requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements by collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Act as the critical link between technical and business teams to align project deliverables with business needs.
• Capture and translate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications.
• Focus on core insurance functions including underwriting, claims processing, accounting workflows, sales commission management, and reporting processes.
• Collaborate closely with implementation teams to ensure technical feasibility and correct solution delivery.
• Design, plan, and execute testing activities, ensuring solutions fully meet documented business and functional requirements.
• Proactively identify and address gaps in requirements or functionalities through thorough analysis and communication.
• Provide clear and concise documentation, including BRDs (Business Requirement Documents), FSDs (Functional Specifications), and test plans.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and regular progress meetings, following Agile or Waterfall methodologies as required.
• Support end-to-end testing efforts and actively contribute to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, specifically in the insurance sector.
• In-depth understanding of insurance processes such as underwriting, claims management, sales commission, and reporting.
• Strong experience in eliciting and documenting detailed business and functional requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute test scenarios to validate business processes.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and experience in conducting both functional and UAT testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Waterfall methodologies for project delivery.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interact effectively with business and technical teams.
• Proficiency in tools for documentation and testing (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Office, or other relevant tools).
• Strong ownership, accountability, and attention to detail in delivering project goals.
• Fluency in both Greek and English (verbal and written).
