Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Project Manager / Delivery Manager to lead and deliver complex IT projects within the banking sector. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the needs of the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, particularly within financial services, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and business goals.
• Oversee project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including technical, business, and operational stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation, and track progress against milestones.
• Manage project risks and issues, taking proactive steps to mitigate potential obstacles and resolve challenges in a timely manner.
• Communicate project status to senior leadership and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and key milestones.
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating project performance, identifying opportunities for optimization, and implementing best practices.
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and compliant with industry standards and organizational requirements.
• Collaborate with vendors, third-party partners, and consultants to ensure the successful implementation of technology solutions.
• Manage and mentor a team of project managers, ensuring their professional growth and alignment with project goals.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

• Proven experience (5+ years) as an IT Project Manager or Delivery Manager, with a track record of managing large-scale, complex projects within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of banking processes, regulations, and technology platforms.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development, and integration within the banking environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing priorities.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• A PMP, Prince2, or Agile certification is a plus.
• A degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex and evolving requirements.
• High-level proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project, Trello, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day project details.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.
• Ability to lead and inspire teams in a dynamic and challenging environment.
