We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Service Manager to lead the planning, delivery, and operational oversight of small to medium-sized IT services in support of our mission to address global environmental challenges. This opportunity is offering a remote working model and the chance to ensure the consistent, high-quality provision of IT services to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of small to medium-sized IT services, ensuring alignment with agreed service levels and organisational goals.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring service continuity, stability, and customer satisfaction.

  • Identify required resources and manage team responsibilities across internal staff, contractors, and vendors.

  • Coordinate closely with business units and technical stakeholders to define and negotiate service scope, delivery timelines, and resource allocation.

  • Continuously refine service delivery plans and backlogs in response to evolving priorities or environmental factors.

  • Conduct and approve service deliverables, ensuring compliance with quality and service standards.

  • Apply a recognised service management methodology (e.g., ITIL) to uphold service reliability and performance.

  • Manage change and release processes, in close alignment with business needs and risk considerations.

  • Monitor and report on service performance, managing issues and risks proactively and escalating where necessary.

  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and accessible, and prepare services for regular audits and quality reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of IT service management experience, with a successful track record of delivering IT services in enterprise environments.

  • Additional 5+ years of experience in application development or related IT functions.

  • Solid knowledge of ITIL or similar service management frameworks; certification is a plus.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

  • Understanding of DevSecOps principles and experience working within cloud-based infrastructures.

  • Excellent multitasking and pressure management skills in a fast-paced international context.

  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

  • Customer-focused mindset, with high professional standards and a solutions-oriented approach.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Certifications in PRINCE2, Scrum, or ITIL.

  • Experience in client-facing IT consulting or advisory roles.

  • Background in multinational or multicultural organisations, ideally within the public or environmental sector.

  • Experience managing distributed or globally sourced teams.

  • Exposure to services built on platforms such as data analytics, Microsoft 365, Drupal, CRM systems, BPM tools, J2EE, or .NET.
