We are looking for a SAP Security Engineer to join our team on behalf of one of our major clients in the Aerospace and Defense industry.

Role Overview:

  • Act as the main point of contact for SAP security services and ensure all needs are addressed effectively.
  • Work with the SAP security provider to assess and improve system security performance.
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of security across all SAP systems.
  • Integrate SAP security into business processes and ensure security controls align with business needs.
  • Manage security tasks, including role design, SOX audits, and compliance assessments.
  • Lead SAP security projects related to system updates, cloud integration, and migrations to newer versions (e.g., S/4HANA).
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of SAP security controls to detect and resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent service delivery and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage security services and audits across all SAP systems globally.
  • Develop and implement SAP security and auditing strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure security controls meet business needs.
  • Assess risks and implement measures to maintain SOX compliance.
  • Lead projects for SAP upgrades and migrations (e.g., to S/4HANA).
  • Automate security tasks to improve operational efficiency.

Technologies & Tools:

  • SAP Security Tools: SAP Security Administrator, SAP Identity Management, SAP Fiori.
  • SAP Releases: S/4HANA, Suite on HANA, ECC 6.0, SAP 4.0b, SAP 4.6C, SAP Fiori/Gateway, PI, BW/BO.
  • GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance): Utilize GRC tools for compliance and risk management.
  • SOX Compliance: Manage SOX compliance strategies and tools for audits and reporting.
  • SAP Solution Manager & EWA Reporting: Use SAP Solution Manager and EWA reports for improvements and monitoring.
  • Automated Testing & Analytics: Tools for automating SOX testing and analytics.
  • Security Incident Management: Manage security incidents and analyze root causes to prevent recurring issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business or Computer Science). MBA is a plus.
  • 8+ years of SAP security experience, with 5+ years of SOX compliance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Security best practices and methodologies.
  • Experience with SAP security tools like SAP Security Administrator, SAP Identity Management, SAP Fiori.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with SAP releases like ECC, S/4HANA, and Fiori.
  • Proficient in English with excellent communication skills.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of SOX regulations and compliance procedures.
  • Ability to design, manage, and redesign SAP security roles.
  • Experience in migrating from ECC 6.0 to S/4HANA and managing upgrades.
  • Automate security tasks to improve efficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel for projects (10-15% of the time).
