We are looking for a Database Administrator to join our client’s team in banking sector.

In this role, you will be part of a skilled team of engineers responsible for maintaining, expanding, and troubleshooting the database infrastructure. Your contribution will ensure high availability, performance, and security across both relational and non-relational databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain relational (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Cosmos DB, etc.), on-premises and in the Cloud.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain database environments.
  • Proactively ensure database availability, performance, and security.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and redundancy strategies.
  • Develop and maintain scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve database performance issues.
  • Participate in IT projects and provide technical support to teams as needed.

Candidate Profile:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (RDBMS) and experience with non-relational databases.
  • Experience with Linux environments (Red Hat) is an advantage.
  • Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar) are a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with excellent written and verbal proficiency in Greek and English.
  • Self-driven, eager to learn, and capable of implementing new features while minimizing complexity.
