We are looking for an experienced Back-End .NET Engineer to join the Cards Banking Technology team of one of our major clients in the Banking sector. This role focuses on the development and support of transaction-driven backend systems, with particular exposure to card-based banking services (Issuing / Acquiring).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services for Core Banking and card-related systems using .NET Core / C#.

  • Implement and support RESTful APIs used by internal systems and third-party providers.

  • Participate in the integration of card payment systems, transaction processing services, and external banking platforms.

  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other backend engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Ensure performance, scalability, security, and reliability of backend services handling financial transactions.

  • Support production environments, investigate incidents, and contribute to root cause analysis.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following enterprise and banking best practices.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in back-end development using .NET Core / C#.

  • Strong experience with REST APIs, service-oriented or microservices architectures.

  • Solid knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server or equivalent), including performance tuning and query optimization.

  • Experience working with transactional systems where data consistency, accuracy, and availability are critical.

  • Familiarity with banking or card-related concepts, such as:

    • Card transactions lifecycle

    • Authorization & settlement flows

    • Reversals, chargebacks, reconciliations

  • Understanding of security principles in financial systems (authentication, authorization, data protection).

  • Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments (banking, fintech, payments) is highly valued.


Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Core Banking, Issuing, or Acquiring systems.

  • Experience with third-party integrations (payment gateways, processors, or external providers).

  • Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production banking systems.

  • Basic understanding of PCI DSS or other financial security standards.
