We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our team on an on-site assignment for the European Parliament in Luxembourg. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to large-scale, high-impact digital platforms that support the dissemination of official EU publications and services.

As part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural team, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle, working on secure, scalable, and cloud-integrated applications. You will collaborate closely with back-end, front-end, DevOps, and business stakeholders in a dynamic EU institutional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and security
• Develop modern, responsive front-end applications using Angular
• Implement and maintain back-end services and APIs supporting complex business workflows
• Integrate applications with cloud-based infrastructures and services
• Design and consume RESTful APIs and ensure seamless front-end/back-end communication
• Participate in the design of cloud-native and microservices-based architectures
• Ensure compliance with security best practices, data protection, and EU regulations
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and back-end developers for optimal user experience and system integration
• Manage and optimize databases and data flows
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and support automated deployment processes
• Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous optimization
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability
• Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree (EQF Level 6) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another IT-related field

Knowledge & Skills

Front-End

• Angular (professional-level experience)
• TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• State management and component-based architecture

Back-End

• Java (8+) and modern Java frameworks (Spring / Spring Boot)
• REST API design and implementation
• Authentication & authorization (OAuth2, OpenID Connect)

Databases

• Relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL or similar)
• Basic experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB) is a plus

Cloud & DevOps

• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Cloud integration and cloud-native application development
• Containerization with Docker
• CI/CD tools (Git, Bamboo, Jenkins or similar)

Additional Skills

• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience with web servers and reverse proxies (Apache, Nginx)
• Security protocols (SSL/TLS)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong technical documentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
