We are looking for a skilled Oracle Developer to join a high-impact team supporting a major client in the defense sector. The role involves working on mission-critical business applications, contributing to both ongoing operations and the evolution of enterprise systems.

You will collaborate closely with service owners, delivery managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of Oracle-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned business applications and services within the Oracle ecosystem.

• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support, including:

  1. Responding to service requests

  2. Investigating and resolving incidents and problems

  3. Advising users on improvements and best practices

• Contribute to the analysis, design, and implementation of new requirements and change requests.

• Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, including:

  1. Requirements specifications

  2. Functional and technical design documents

  3. System documentation and deliverables

• Provide time estimates for development and implementation activities.

• Ensure full lifecycle testing of changes prior to user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Actively contribute to cross-service integration efforts and related projects.

• Participate in knowledge-sharing activities, including presentations and briefings.

• Stay current with industry trends through training and professional development.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE/Oracle BI) and/or Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)

• Proven background in Oracle development and support environments

• Experience with incident management, troubleshooting, and system optimization

• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing processes

• Ability to create clear and structured technical documentation

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience in large-scale enterprise or government environments

• Familiarity with IT service management processes (e.g., ITIL)
