We are looking for an experienced Web Semantic Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions based on Semantic Web and knowledge graph technologies.

The ideal candidate will combine strong expertise in Semantic Web technologies and ontology engineering with solid backend development skills, particularly in Java and Python. You will work on the development and integration of semantic solutions, including ontology modelling, knowledge representation, RDF-based data management, querying, validation, and graph database technologies.

Beyond the usual Semantic Web skill set (OWL, RDF, SPARQL, SHACL, triple stores and graph databases such as GraphDB, Virtuoso, or AWS Neptune), the candidate should have strong backend development experience, with solid programming skills in Java and Python. Knowledge of Elasticsearch would be considered a strong advantage.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of formal languages and formal ontologies, including OWL and Description Logics (DL).

• Experience in designing and modelling domain ontologies.

• Good knowledge of the Semantic Web technology stack, including OWL, RDF, SPARQL, and SHACL.

• Experience with triple stores and graph databases, such as Virtuoso, AWS Neptune, GraphDB, or equivalent technologies.

• Experience with well-governed and well-supported open-source Semantic Web solutions.

• Solid backend development experience.

• Strong programming skills in Java and Python.

• Knowledge of Elasticsearch is considered a significant plus.

Experience Requirements

For the SEM profile, the contractual requirements are:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant studies and/or professional experience after secondary education.

• At least 5 years of professional IT experience.

• At least 3 years of professional experience specifically in Semantic Web / semantic technologies.
