We are looking for a talented Cybersecurity Engineer – Analyst to join our team of IT professionals on behalf of a government sector client based in Nicosia, Cyprus.

This role focuses on safeguarding critical infrastructure, managing cybersecurity incidents and supporting the development and implementation of national strategies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts studies, prepares reports, and ensures compliance with relevant legislation.
• Maintains registers of Critical Infrastructure Providers, Operators of Essential Services (OES), Electronic Communications Providers, and Digital Service Providers (DSP).
• Defines and oversees the implementation of cybersecurity measures, including risk assessments, security plans, incident management, and compliance with EU directives.
• Manages and analyzes cybersecurity incidents, issues alerts, and provides training and education.
• Supports the preparation of cybersecurity strategies, policies, and legislative drafts.
• Participates in the activities of the National CSIRT and SOC, including handling incident reports, conducting audits, and vulnerability analysis.
• Designs and evaluates technical specifications, contracts, and offers related to cybersecurity operations.
• Collaborates with international, European, and national bodies on cybersecurity matters.
• Monitors technological advancements in cybersecurity and applies relevant solutions.
• Ensures confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive and personal data.
• Develops, tests, and maintains software applications required by the authority.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

1. University Degree or equivalent in at least one of the following fields:

• Telecommunications
• Electronic Engineering (including Computer Engineering)
• Computer Science
• Cybersecurity

3. At least 2 years of relevant experience in the respective field of study.
4. Strong command of the Greek language and proficiency in English, French, or German, in accordance with the Public Service Commission language proficiency requirements.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Eligibility for membership with the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK).
• 2-6 years of experience in IT or Cybersecurity.
• Experience in the following areas is considered an advantage:
  • Operation of SOC (Security Operation Center)
  • Incident Response Management
  • Risk Management and Business Continuity Management
  • Information Security Management System (ISMS)
• Professional Certifications in Information Security.
