We’re looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our major client’s DevOps team, in banking sector.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of best practices and emerging concepts in DevOps, Infrastructure Automation.
- Developing tools and code to automate manual steps in the pipeline and optimize existing steps.
- Design and implement orchestration tools and systems relating to Developer Productivity.
- Lead the integration of new tools to existing eco-system ensuring.
- Working on CI/CD pipeline construction, evolution and management.
- Enable continuous integration / continuous delivery: Code developed on an incremental basis should be promoted to production environment hosted on-prem, private or public cloud on a regular basis.
Skillsets
- Primary skillsets: DevOps tools, Vmware tools (VRA/VROPS), Strong Linux knowledge, Kubernetes, streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka), understanding of basic DB architectures (SQL, MongoDB), strong coding experience with either GoLang or Python.
- Familiarity with configuration management systems like Puppet, Ansible, or Chef.
- Knowledge of orchestrators e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation & Azure Resource Manager.
- Using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Bintray, Docker, SonarQube,
- Experience using monitoring and logging tools built on Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- Experience with provisioning of workloads in Vmware infrastructure via the use of REST APIs and provisioning on public clouds (e.g. EC2, Azure, GCP) & ideally experience with Vmware Cloud Foundation.
- Knowledge of the Linux networking (Netfilter, IP-route) and container fundamentals (cgroups, namespaces).
- Solid understanding of large web service architectures (load balancing, scaling).
