We are looking for an experienced Enterprise IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team and work for one of our major clients in industrial machinery manufacturing sector

A successful candidate will be able to manage systems and storage dedicated to hosting of systems, data, and related technologies within the corporate data center as well as remote data centers and globally distributed locations. This role will be a key contributor to the administration of the client’s data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Executes the team’s objectives for local, global, and cloud data centers.
• Administers cloud platforms and maintains the required configuration.
• Provides on going technical support for cloud environments globally to assure cost effective operation.
• Implements the change, upgrade, or removal of current cloud systems.
• Works with appropriate business partners to implement new cloud infrastructure/systems as required.
• Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, and makes recommendations.
• Ensures security standards are being met, and takes appropriate steps when deficiencies are uncovered.
• Participates in disaster recovery testing.
• Remediates incident and service requests.
• Drafts operational documentation as requested.
• Provide support for the following applications & hardware globally:
  • Azure IaaS and PaaS Infrastructure and services
  • Microsoft SCCM for patching and server inventory
  • Virtualization infrastructure support through SCVMM and vCenter
  • Storage: HPE 3PAR, HPE Alletra, Dell Compellent, HP StoreOnce, NetApp
  • Hardware: HPE\Dell blades and chassis, Dell\HPE servers
  • Support global backup process and remediation.
• Be a team player and participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• College Degree in computer science, information sciences or related field and 3 years of experience; OR 5+ years relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware & operating systems (e.g., Windows & Linux Server Operating Systems).
• Strong working knowledge in enterprise backup disk-based solutions (e.g., Azure Backup, CommVault, and Veeam).
• Knowledge of industry standard maintenance practices and monitoring tools is required. Solarwinds preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS is required.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code is required.
• Strong knowledge with Windows Active Directory is required.
• Excellent knowledge of enterprise grade virtualization is required.
• Strong knowledge in Microsoft SCVMM and SCCM is preferred.
• Strong knowledge in enterprise storage solutions is a plus.
• Thorough experience working with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.

• Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required.
• Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.

• Self-directed, self-starter and strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
