We are currently seeking a talented IT Project Manager on behalf of a major European Union Institution.

 

 

Working model: fully remote

Salary range: 2500 – 2800 euros gross

 

 

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager / Delivery Manager to lead and coordinate software delivery and maintenance activities within a dynamic IT environment. The role is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of Evolutive and Corrective Maintenance services, managing delivery commitments, maintaining service quality, and fostering effective collaboration between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Depending on the assignment, the successful candidate may be responsible for managing a single team or coordinating multiple teams and delivery streams. The ideal profile combines strong project and delivery management capabilities with a practical understanding of software development processes and IT service management practices.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate software delivery teams to ensure the successful execution of Evolutive and Corrective Maintenance activities.
  • Plan, monitor, and control project and service delivery activities, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, quality standards, and agreed service levels.
  • Manage priorities, risks, dependencies, issues, and resource allocation across assigned teams and workstreams.
  • Facilitate Agile delivery practices and ceremonies, promoting continuous improvement and team effectiveness.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and regular status reporting.
  • Coordinate the resolution of incidents, defects, service requests, and enhancement activities in collaboration with technical teams.
  • Monitor delivery KPIs, service performance metrics, and team productivity to drive operational excellence.
  • Ensure alignment between business requirements, delivery commitments, and technical implementation.
  • Support change, release, and deployment activities as part of the overall service delivery lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery and service management practices.

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of experience in IT Project Management, Delivery Management, Scrum Master, or similar roles.
  • Proven experience managing software development, application maintenance, or IT delivery initiatives.
  • Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and delivery frameworks.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management.
  • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Strong organizational, planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as Scrum Master, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or ITIL.
  • Experience with delivery and service management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
  • Exposure to application support, maintenance services, and managed service environments.
  • General technical awareness of software engineering practices, application architectures, and modern development methodologies.
