We’re seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to drive critical infrastructure modernisation initiatives for a major client in the gaming platform sector. You’ll play a key role in migrating legacy systems to cloud-native architectures while ensuring the stability and performance of our production environments.

What You’ll Work On

  • Cloud Migration Projects: Lead the migration of Online and Retail PAM backend services and widgets from Apache to Kubernetes (Rancher), modernising our deployment architecture
  • Platform Modernisation: Upgrade and optimise core infrastructure components, including RabbitMQ, Redis, and other platform services
  • Application Deployment: Set up and deploy new DGE applications with robust CI/CD pipelines
  • Retail Systems: Support the Retail Management System (RMS) and Middleware projects through automated deployments, configuration management, and performance optimisation
  • Production Support: Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, implementing monitoring and stress testing frameworks to prevent future issues

What You Bring

Essential Skills:

  • Strong experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm/Compose)
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo, or similar platforms)
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or similar)
  • Expertise in Git and version control workflows
  • Database administration experience with SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis)

Technical Knowledge:

  • Building and deploying Ansible roles and playbooks for containerised environments
  • Implementing monitoring and observability solutions using the ELK stack and/or Grafana
  • Deploying applications to PaaS platforms (Azure, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Google App Engine, Heroku, Firebase)
  • Understanding of scalable application architecture and design principles
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation
