We are currently looking for a talented Senior QA Engineer for one of our major clients in the Technology sector.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in Banking and Financial Systems, specifically in Cards and Loan Management domains. The ideal candidate will bring over 5 years of experience in the industry, possessing a deep understanding of test planning, manual testing, defect tracking, and customer-facing testing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the testability of business requirements by reviewing specifications, technical designs, and impact analysis documents. Provide valuable input on potential testing challenges and areas for improvement.
  • Actively engage in Quality Inspection Sessions of Business Requirements, offering feedback and conducting comprehensive reviews to ensure that requirements are clear, testable, and feasible for testing. Provide effort estimation for effective test coverage.
  • Prepare detailed Test Plans and Test Cases, covering all necessary scenarios to verify that systems meet customer expectations. Execute manual test cases across various modules, with a focus on Cards and Loan Management features.
  • Defect Management: Record and track defects found during testing. Retest issues once resolved and ensure accurate defect documentation for continuous improvement.
  • Reporting & Communication: Analyze, report, and communicate test results to key stakeholders, ensuring clear insights into product quality for each release. Identify potential risks and issues during testing and communicate these to project leads and stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Track personal progress in the testing phase and escalate any issues or risks that could impact project deadlines or quality in a proactive and timely manner.
  • Produce and maintain training materials, such as manuals and presentations, to ensure colleagues are up to date with the latest release features. Conduct training sessions to upskill QA colleagues on new functionalities and system features.
  • Provide support during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase by tracking, resolving, and retesting issues reported by the customer. Ensure all UAT issues are resolved before product release.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within the Banking or Financial Services sector, with a focus on Cards and Loan Management systems. Experience with Core Banking Systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong experience in preparing Test Plans and Test Cases for complex banking applications. Ability to perform manual testing and document test results and defects comprehensively.
  • Proficiency in using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Quality Center) to record, manage, and report defects efficiently.
  • Excellent ability to analyze test results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate testing progress clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in reviewing business requirements, technical designs, and impact analysis documents to ensure testability and adequate test coverage.
  • Experience in supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including issue tracking, resolution, and retesting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, QTP) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and familiarity with Agile testing practices.
  • Familiarity with cards systems, loan management systems, and other financial applications.
