We are currently seeking a talented System Admin/Devops Engineer on behalf of one of our major clients in the Information Technology sector.

Location: Athens, Greece

Working model: Hybrid (2 days per week at the office)

Salary range: 3000 – 3200 euros gross

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Infrastructure: Manage and optimize Linux servers, network devices, and cloud infrastructure to keep everything running smoothly.
• Automate: Streamline deployment, configuration, and management processes using tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Build CI/CD Pipelines: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Collaborate & Optimize: Work closely with our development teams to enhance application performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Secure the Systems: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Monitor & Scale: Keep an eye on system performance, resolve issues proactively, and plan for scalable growth.
• Stay Ahead: Continuously explore emerging technologies to elevate our processes and infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in System Administration and DevOps roles.
• Deep expertise in Linux server administration, including networking, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Strong grasp of system security principles and best practices.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Proficiency with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like GitHub.
• Solid scripting skills in Bash or Python.
• Sharp problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong command of English.

Desired Skills (Bonus Points)

• Relevant certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, RHCE, or similar.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like ELK Stack or Dynatrace.
• Proficiency in German is a plus.
