We are looking for a talented System Administrator to join our team of IT professionals on behalf of one of our major clients in IT sector located in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Responsibilities:

• Understands and applies basic knowledge of information technology and associated tools of their technical specialty to support attainment of team and department objectives.
• Ability to absorb professional knowledge quickly and develop skills.
• Uses concepts involving technologies and methodologies to collaborate with other technical specialists when carrying out assigned duties.
• Effectively negotiates with technical peers, and customers, to implement technical solutions.
• Analyses technical problems and creates solutions involving the use of existing techniques or tools. Performs assigned tasks within schedule in accordance with established standards and guidance.
• Must be customer-orientated while maintaining focus on the overall delivery of service.
• Monitors and actions all problem records assigned within contractual service level agreements & terms and conditions
• Liaise with dependent areas for changes impacting the Middleware environment.
• Proffer recommendations to management on appropriate action plans for improved services
• Ensure the security and integrity of information database.

Requirements:

• BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field
• At least 2 years of experience in similar role
• System Administration Skills in one of the following areas:
  • VMWare Vsphere
  • CITRIX VDI or any other Virtual Desktop technology
  • Windows or Linux Operating Systems
  • Monitoring Tools (like SNOW, MS SCOM, SolarWinds, IBM APM, IBM CRO, Big Fix e.t.c)
  • SAP Basis
• Any certification for any of the above products or similar will be considered as an advantage
• Problem-solving capabilities and customer focused approach
• Diagnosing problems and determining the severity
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
• Fluency in English and Greek
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
