We are looking for two experienced BI Engineers to join a high-impact data transformation project in Gambling Sector. The successful candidates will act as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), contributing to the design, development, and modernization of enterprise Business Intelligence and Data Engineering solutions. The role involves close collaboration with Data Engineering, BI, and business teams to build scalable data pipelines, migrate legacy solutions, and deliver modern analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement new Spark Streaming data flows in Databricks to consume incoming Kafka topics from data feeds.
- Develop new Databricks data pipelines to populate tables with data from multiple source feeds.
- Transform existing ETL workflows implemented in Azure Synapse Pipelines into Databricks SQL and PySpark solutions.
- Implement and enhance existing Synapse Pipelines that feed enterprise Data Marts.
- Migrate existing SSRS reports that consume Synapse data into Power BI Fabric reports using Databricks as the data source.
- Participate in technical and business workshops with BI, Data Engineering, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and define data processing logic.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine data models, streaming ingestion patterns, and transformation logic.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, high-performance data engineering and BI solutions.
- Support data validation activities to ensure consistency between Kafka source systems and target BI models.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, including data flows, transformation logic, solution architecture, and technical specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline will be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Warehouse (DWH) development, including data model design, table development, and ETL implementation.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience developing data pipelines using Databricks.
- Experience developing Spark Streaming solutions consuming Kafka topics.
- Minimum 1 year of experience designing and developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Strong understanding of BI business requirements and the ability to design data marts, ETL processes, and reporting solutions that meet business needs.
- Experience designing and developing data pipelines capable of processing large-scale datasets.

Education
