We are currently seeking a talented Technical Project Manager on behalf of one of our major clients in the Information Technology sector.

Working model: hybrid

Salary range: 3000 – 3500 euros gross

Job Profile

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong technical background to lead the successful delivery of complex software development projects. The ideal candidate has proven experience managing public sector projects and is comfortable working with cross-functional technical teams throughout the full software development lifecycle.

This role requires a combination of project management expertise, stakeholder management, and technical understanding to ensure high-quality delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate combines strong project leadership with technical credibility. They can communicate effectively with both executive stakeholders and engineering teams, navigate the complexities of public sector engagements, and drive projects to successful completion while maintaining a focus on quality, transparency, and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of large-scale IT projects.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including software engineers, architects, business analysts, QA engineers, UX designers, and DevOps engineers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with public sector governance, reporting, procurement, and documentation requirements.
• Facilitate project ceremonies, steering committee meetings, and status reporting.
• Monitor project progress using appropriate KPIs and proactively manage risks and mitigation plans.
• Work closely with technical leads to align business objectives with technical implementation.
• Support requirements management, change control, and release planning.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing software development or digital transformation projects.
• Mandatory experience delivering IT projects for public sector organizations or government agencies.
• Strong technical background with a solid understanding of modern software development practices and architectures.
• Experience managing Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing multiple vendors and technical teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to Have Qualifications

• Experience with Java enterprise ecosystems (e.g., Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices).
• Experience with Drupal CMS implementations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of system integration, APIs, and enterprise architectures.
• PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience working in regulated environments and managing projects with strict governance requirements.
