We are currently seeking talented Data Engineers (Mid-Senior) on behalf of one of our major clients in the Insurance and Technology sector.

Location: Thessaloniki, Greece

Mid:

working model: hybrid only in Thessaloniki

salary range: 2600 – 3000 euros gross

Senior:

working model: remote can be accepted

salary range: 3000 – 3500 euros gross

Job Profile:

We are looking for Data Engineers (Mid-Senior) to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions that support analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong experience developing data pipelines, working with modern data platforms, and writing high-quality, maintainable code. You are curious about emerging technologies and open to adopting new engineering practices and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reliable and scalable data pipelines.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using modern data engineering best practices.
• Develop data processing solutions using PySpark and Python.
• Work with Databricks to build, test, and deploy data engineering solutions.
• Ensure data quality, performance, reliability, and observability across data platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to deliver data products.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards.
• Learn and apply a design-first methodology for developing robust, maintainable data solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Professional experience as a Data Engineer (mid-level or senior).
• Strong experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark.
• Experience working with Databricks.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and distributed data processing.
• Experience with version control and collaborative software development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and adopt a design-first methodology for solution development.
• Familiarity with Claude or other AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
