We are currently seeking a talented Data Analyst on behalf of one of our major clients in the Information Technology/Telecoms sector.

Working model: hybrid

Location: Athens, Greece

Salary range: 2700 – 3200 euros gross

Mission: Ensure business requirements are correctly translated into BigQuery datasets, Looker semantic models, KPIs, and reports/dashboards.

Responsibilities:

Report Inventory & Rationalization

1. • Identify existing SAP BO reports and supporting universes
   • Assess report usage and business criticality
   • Consolidate and descope reports to rationalize inventory size
   • Document report metadata and lineage to semantic layer
   • Prioritize reports in migration waves

Semantic Layer

1. • Own all semantic layers in Looker
   • Consolidate two core semantic layers into one, supporting a single customer view
   • Detect and decommission objects no longer required
   • Rationalize semantic layer structure (e.g. define list of dimensions, measures and time references, rename objects, layer structure)
   • Support Data Governance activities (e.g. lineage to database dimensional layer, semantic layer naming, description)
   • Link semantic layer to Data Governance information (i.e. Collibra)
   • Develop new semantic layers in LookML
   • Data reconciliation: validate new semantic layers with sample reports compared to legacy, raise fixes where needed

Report Migration

1. • Agree report prototypes with stakeholders, where needed (e.g. when reports are changed due to consolidation)
   • Develop new reports in Looker
   • Validate report performance and usability
   • Support Data Governance activities (e.g. lineage to semantic layer, report owner, report scope)
   • Reconcile report results with legacy

UAT Ownership

1. • Coordinate business testing
   • Validate UAT findings and support/follow up their resolution
