We are looking for a Data Governance professional to join our team in a hybrid role, driving the implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement of our Data Governance framework. The role will work closely with Data Owners, business stakeholders, and other data teams to ensure clear accountability, effective governance processes, and trusted data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Framework Ownership

• Own and continuously maintain the Data Governance framework, ensuring it remains aligned with business and organizational needs.

• Maintain a strong network and close collaboration with Functional Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Data Custodians.

• Define and maintain clear accountability models and RACI frameworks in collaboration with the team and relevant stakeholders.

• Promote Data Governance awareness and drive the adoption of data ownership across the organization.

• Establish clear ownership and accountability for metadata within the Data Governance structure.

Roadmap & Ways of Working

• Assess and maintain the Data Governance roadmap, proactively planning for capacity, dependencies, priorities, and parallel activities.

• Work closely with other data teams to ensure end-to-end Data Governance coverage and avoid gaps or overlaps.

• Establish and continuously improve ways of working within the Data Governance team and across collaborating data teams.

• Identify opportunities to improve collaboration, efficiency, and consistency across governance activities.

Business Adoption

• Drive Data Governance awareness and adoption across business and data communities.

• Educate and train users on data ownership, governance responsibilities, and relevant processes.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders and data users.

• Ensure Data Governance principles and responsibilities are embedded into day-to-day delivery and business processes.

• Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and trusted data.

Governance Policy Implementation

• Define, refine, and prioritize Data Governance initiatives and activities, with a particular focus on:

  • Data Catalogue

  • Data Lineage

  • Data Privacy

  • Data Security

  • Data Quality

• Ensure alignment with and compliance to Data Governance policies, standards, and procedures.

• Monitor implementation and identify areas requiring remediation or improvement.

• Oversee, review, and provide sign-off on Data Governance deliverables.

• Support continuous improvement of governance practices, processes, and standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of Data Governance frameworks, data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models.

• Experience working with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Custodians, and cross-functional data teams.

• Familiarity with Data Catalogue, Data Lineage, Data Quality, Privacy, and Data Security concepts.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical audiences.

• Experience defining processes, ways of working, RACI models, and governance roadmaps.

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple dependencies and initiatives.

• A collaborative mindset and the ability to drive adoption and change across an organization.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
