We are looking for a Junior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team on behalf of one of our major banking clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products.
• Manage and monitor Oracle databases to ensure high availability and performance.
• Implement and maintain database security, including user accounts, roles, and permissions.
• Perform database tuning and optimization to enhance performance.
• Develop, implement, and maintain backup and recovery strategies.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and implement database solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Proficiency with Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, or higher.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting.
• Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
• Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
• Excellent understanding of database security best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP) are desirable.
