We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our IT team and support mission-critical database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, administration, optimization, security, and maintenance of enterprise database platforms and related applications in a high-availability environment.
This role requires strong expertise in relational database systems, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and database security, along with the ability to collaborate across technical teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain database platforms and related applications.
- Monitor database performance, availability, and usage; perform tuning and optimization activities to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
- Provide technical support for database environments, including database organization, maintenance, and application performance monitoring.
- Develop and maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Conduct technical studies and impact analyses for proposed system changes and recommend database or application server adaptations.
- Troubleshoot database issues, incidents, and performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure database security, integrity, backup, and recovery processes are properly implemented.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors regarding incidents, product issues, and technical improvements.
- Support database migration, upgrade, and patching activities where required.
- Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
